Long before chivalry was dead
Knights in shining armor walked the land.
They wielded mighty swords to serve their kings
Fought off dragons, saved damsels
Among other heroic deeds.
Whether they sat at round tables or long
Their feats are world-renown.
Bards recant the tales
With their voices and soft sounds
Entrancing all with their motions and well spun words
And perhaps a moral amongst the adventures.
Respect, Honesty, Loyalty, Pride
Are all things to which these men subscribed.
They led their lives with honor
Did the best they could in their time.
Creating these tales that every child knows
Creating countless dreams of an era that came to an end
But can never truly die.
